Allardice also praised the ongoing construction efforts to create a stadium capable of accommodating 34,000 cricket enthusiasts. Populous, one of the most popular groups, is spearheading this ambitious project. It has already crafted iconic stadiums globally, such as the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

“We are partnering with world-class suppliers to deliver the modular stadium to ensure that players and fans can enjoy an unforgettable experience across the eight matches in New York in June this year,” Allardice added.

This stadium is designed not only to cater to cricket enthusiasts but it will also provide a world-class experience for the visitors. It has a dedicated fan zone, a diverse array of food and beverage outlets as well as cutting-edge media and broadcast areas. The pitch is currently a drop-in square similar to the ones used at the Adelaide Oval and Eden Park. It is being prepared in Florida and will be transported to New York in early May.

This stadium is 30 miles east of Manhattan, and the venue will also have excellent transportation and parking facilities, with three nearby train stations available. The venue will host as many as eight T20 World Cup games, commencing with the match between Sri Lanka and South Africa on June 3.
